Responsibilities

The Manager of Enterprise Applications specializes in delivering stable and reliable applications to support business operations and advance corporate strategies.  This role will be the primary, technical subject matter expert for all business applications, with expertise in system functionality, integration points and data sources.  The candidate will possess a superior aptitude for analyzing business problems and translating business requirements into technical specifications for solutions that deliver a high ROI, and will also possess a willingness to provide hands-on application support when necessary.  The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate technical information in simple terms that are easily understood by business stakeholders. 

 

  • Analyze business problems, document business requirements, create and maintain test scripts, test bug fixes and enhancements, document test results, facilitate UAT and assure software quality.
  • Provide expertise and guidance related to application functionality, design and integration.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements, with the goal of streamlining business processes, adding efficiencies, implementing best practices, adding and improving cost controls and maximizing profits.
  • Evaluate applications and reduce complexity in areas such as workflow and integration design to ensure solutions are efficient, meet business requirements and are easily supported.
  • Collaborate with third party providers and implementation partners to reduce application defects and ensure system stability.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of SDLC processes and procedures that minimize the occurrence of application defects and result in the delivery of solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Identify training requirements, develop and update training documentation and provide training and re-training for new and current employees for existing functionality and enhancements.
  • Collaborate on the definition, creation, maintenance and testing of security roles that provide needed functionality while limiting risk.
  • Provide Level 2 support for user application support issues.
  • Support the monitoring and troubleshooting of batch job and integration failures.
  • Assist in the management and execution of new projects.

Qualifications

 

  • At least five years of experience as a functional Business Analyst on Microsoft Dynamics AX.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance or related field.
  • Thorough familiarity with SDLC methodologies.
  • Proven track record establishing close business relationships with key stakeholders and third party providers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Visio, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Understanding of Financial and Accounting configurations, features, functions and best practices in Microsoft Dynamics AX, including AP, AR, GL and Forecasting.
  • Experience with Atlas and Management Reporter.
  • Understanding of Supply Chain configurations, features, functions and best practices in Microsoft Dynamics AX, including sales order management, purchasing, costing and inventory control.
  • Experience working in the retail industry and/or the apparel industry.
  • Functional and technical understanding of commonly used enterprise applications, including: Retail applications and POS (TeamWorks); Ecommerce (Demandware); Product Development and Product Lifecycle Management (WebPDM); Business Intelligence, Reporting and Analytics; EDI (DataMasons); Wholesale Order Management (Joor).
